Indiana requires applicants for certification to certified as a CST from the NBSTSA.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARCST/SA). Effective October 1, 2023, the State of Connecticut requires individuals to graduate from a CAAHEP- or ABHES- accredited surgical technologist program and hold certification as a surgical technologist from a national certifying body that certifies surgical technologists recognized by the Department of Public Health.

MTC’s Surgical Technology program meets the educational requirements for employment in Colorado. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARCST/SA). The State of Colorado requires all surgical technologists to register with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in order to practice surgical technology in this state’s healthcare facilities. Colorado does not license or certify surgical technologists. Individual employers may have additional requirements for employment.
