Midlands Technical College’s Practical Nursing program meets the educational requirements to apply for Practical Nursing licensure in Missouri. The Practical Nursing Program at Midlands Technical College is approved by the state of South Carolina Board of Nursing and accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Graduates of the Practical Nursing program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARCST/SA). Each employer may have individual requirements for employment as a surgical technologist.

Program: Radiologic Technology

The Associates of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology at MTC meets the educational requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on the Education in Radiologic Technology. The graduates are certified by the ARRT and the state of SC by the SCRQSA (South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association). This meets the educational requirements of the state of Missouri. Missouri does not require licensure for radiologic technologists at this time.

MTC’s Associate Degree Nursing program meets the educational requirements for initial licensure for registered nursing in Missouri. Applicants must earn a passing score on the NCLEX- RN. Missouri is a member of NLC. MTC ADN graduates who meet primary residence and NLC uniform licensure requirements may apply for licensure by exam. MTC’s Associate Degree Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
