Overview
The Project Manager II program is designed to align with the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards for project management certifications. This advanced program includes two key courses: the PMP Prep Boot Camp and Agile Fundamentals. Students gain in-depth knowledge of industry standards, project management methodologies, and advanced tools and techniques necessary for successfully leading projects in both predictive (traditional) and adaptive (Agile) environments.
The Agile Fundamentals course focuses on SCRUM, the most widely adopted Agile Methodology in software development and project management. Participants will learn to effectively contribute to Agile project teams, understand Agile roles and responsibilities, and navigate modern software development processes. As more organizations shift to Agile frameworks, this course enhances career opportunities within the evolving IT and business sectors.
This program ensures that graduates are fully prepared to lead projects across various industries, regardless of methodology. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to pass the PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) exam and earn the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification, making them highly competitive in the project management field.

- Attend an information session. Information sessions last approximately two hours and are free to attend.
- Be a South Carolina resident for 12 consecutive months. Applicants will be required to submit documentation for proof of residency (Driver's license, Beginner's permit, or state issued ID).
- Not be in default on any federal student loans and not owe MTC or any other college monies.
- Submit an application. You will need to enter your student ID on the application.
- Scholarship recipients will be in communication with the Program Director responsible for the program for which they applied.
- Some programs require clean SLED background checks and clean drug/alcohol tests.

PMP Exam Prep Boot Camp Certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) shows the world that you have mastered essential project management skills and knowledge. Improve your chances of passing the PMP certification exam on the first try with this well-proven and successful course. The course content is consistent with the latest edition of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge(PMBOK® Guide) and other standards and guides from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The course will prepare students for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam using the PMP Exam Prep Study Guide by RMC Publications. Included with the course is a one-year subscription to RMC Exam Simulation of over 1500 exam questions to prepare to take the PMP exam. Agile Fundamentals This course provides you with the Agile values and principles to incorporate Agile methodologies into your organization. To be successful in delivering software using Agile methods, you must have a strong and stable agile mindset. This course focuses on being Agile before doing Agile and provides a common foundation for making decisions about the best way to develop software using agile values and principles and introduces you to PMI's Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®. This course prepares you for the Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM1) certification. Prerequisites: Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
