Licensure Disclosures

State Licensure Eligibility

Programs at MTC are designed to meet South Carolina requirements for licensure or certification. Professional licensure and certification requirements vary widely from state to state. The College works to determine whether programs meet the educational requirements for licensure or certification outside of South Carolina and provides this information in program licensure disclosures. Beyond the completion of a program that meets the educational requirements for licensure, there may be additional requirements for licensure including professional examinations, background checks, years of work experience, or other local requirements.

Students considering an academic program that leads to licensure or certification in their state are strongly encouraged to review the licensure disclosures below and contact the appropriate state agency for additional information and guidance. Licensing board contact information is provided for each state and program.

Potential changes in requirements

Program licensure disclosures are reviewed and updated regularly. Students who intend to pursue licensure or certification outside of South Carolina should be aware that state licensure requirements are subject to change at any time. While a program may initially meet the educational requirements for licensure, changes in requirements may result in the program no longer meeting such requirements. Students should always check with their state licensure board to confirm current licensure requirements.
