Small Engine Repair
Overview
From lawnmowers to go-carts, to weed-eaters – if it has a small engine, learn to troubleshoot, repair, and even rebuild if necessary. The practical, hands-on learning experience from this course will provide benefits that last a lifetime. Whether you repair small engines for a living or just keep up with your own equipment, the class will easily pay for itself many times over. In about six weeks, you can have a working knowledge of types and operation of small engines, engine service, and repair of outdoor power equipment. Small engine repair professionals can earn over $20 an hour with experience.
A list of tools with a cost of approximately $100-150 will be given on the first day of the class.
The South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association's Auto Tech Development Program provides students with scholarships, job placement, and a free set of tools worth almost $10,000.
