MTC to Coker University
The MTC to Coker University Bridge Program offers MTC graduates a simplified application process, 100% transfer of credits, and an annual $2,000 scholarship for up to three years. MTC graduates with associate degrees in business management, marketing or criminal justice will have the option of pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management and criminology through a two-year program that combines one in-seat class and one online class each eight-week term.
Because MTC students have a direct transfer pathway to Coker University with 100% of MTC coursework transferring to Coker, most MTC students will start at Coker with half of their bachelor’s degree requirements already completed.
For MTC students who enter the management/marketing or criminology bridge option, each term Coker will offer two courses taught by Coker faculty––one course will be one night a week at MTC and one course will be online. This program structure allows students to complete six credit hours per eight-week term (a full-time schedule for financial aid purposes) and allows MTC students to complete their bachelor’s degree in just two years. Throughout Coker’s program, you’ll be part of a cohort, meaning you’ll be with the same group of students as you work together toward your bachelor’s degree. In addition, you’ll have Coker’s supportive faculty, staff, and resources to help you along the way.
For students that need even more flexibility, Coker University offers four 100% online bachelor’s degrees––business management, criminology, psychology, and sociology––in addition to in-seat undergraduate programs in more than 40 subject areas.
Coker University offers competitive financial aid, including an annual $2,000 Achievement Scholarship for MTC associate degree graduates for up to three years. MTC students will also receive support throughout Coker’s admissions, financial aid, and transfer processes, including access to a Coker student success coach for one-on-one assistance.
Founded in 1908 in Hartsville, South Carolina, Coker University is a bachelor’s and master’s degree-granting institution and is included among the "Best Colleges" in the South by U.S. News & World Report as well as The Princeton Review, and by Washington Monthly as a “Best Bang for Your Buck” college in the southeast.
