MTC offers four kinds of learning – on-campus, online, virtual, and hybrid. On-campus classes are traditional and meet in a classroom. Online (asynchronous) classes are self-paced with due dates for projects and assignments. Virtual (synchronous) classes meet with a live instructor on specific days and times using web conferencing software, like Zoom. Hybrid classes blend elements of on-campus and online or virtual classes.

MTC offers many options for when to start. – The college is enrolling for Maymester, Summer, and Fall semesters starting next week.  Maymester, offered at MTC for the first time this year, allows continuing and visiting students to complete a full course in just weeks. Summer semester options make it easy for new students to get started quickly or for continuing students to get closer to graduation. And flexible Fall semester options include the full 14-week traditional semester as well as shorter terms.

MTC offers eight Schools of Study – The schools at MTC are organized into 150+ career and transfer programs that provide clear Pathways toward careers and for continuing studies at four-year institutions. In each Pathway, a sample program plan is provided with courses laid out exactly as they should be taken, with full- and part-time options listed. Students can learn more about MTC’s Schools of Study in the ongoing Schools of Study weeks happening now through April.
