Senior Citizen Students
If you are a senior citizen (60 years old or older) and are a legal resident of South Carolina, you may be eligible for free tuition at Midlands Technical College. In order to participate, a person must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted to Midlands Technical College.
- Be an S.C. resident for at least 12 months.
Senior citizens may take selected academic courses at MTC on a space-available basis without paying for tuition. Senior citizens using the free tuition benefit may begin registering for classes on the last business day prior to the first day of classes each term.
Please note that senior citizens are responsible for paying all other fees and costs associated with the free course, including books and matriculation fees. Late registration fees will not be charged on the free tuition courses. Payment is due on the date of registration. A waiver form is required. Call 803.732.5200 or email bccashier@midlandstech.edu.
