Oregon - Surgical Technology

MTC’s Surgical Technology program meets the educational requirements for certification in Oregon. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARCST/SA). The Oregon surgical technologist law and rules require documentation showing that the person has completed an educational program for surgical technologists accredited by a national accreditation organization approved by the Oregon Health Authority (CAAHEP & ABHES) and that the person holds and maintains a surgical technologist certification issued by a nationally accredited certifying organization for surgical technologists approved by the authority by rule (NBSTSA, NCCA).
