MTC’s Associate in Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology program meets the educational requirements for initial certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Iowa. Applicants must earn a passing score on the MLT Board of Certification Exam through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). An official transcript from MTC showing the AAS.MLT degree as conferred must be sent to ASCP upon graduation.

MTC’s Associate in Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
