Each international student must provide transportation from his or her country to Columbia, South Carolina. Once in Columbia, it is recommended that the student give serious consideration to renting or purchasing a vehicle. Each student is responsible for providing their own transportation and arriving to class on time.

A used vehicle can be purchased reasonably. If you purchase a car, you will be required to purchase car insurance and pay property taxes and other fees on the vehicle. A motorcycle or bicycle is also a good choice if you live close to the college.

Although there is a public bus system, its schedule may not be compatible with the student’s schedule or residence.
