How to Apply/Eligibility

Eligibility
Who is eligible to participate in the Midlands Technical College Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) project?

  1. U.S. citizen, permanent resident or eligible non-citizen;
  2. Resident of Lexington County or Fairfield County;
  3. Potential first-generation college student (neither parent has a four-year college degree);
  4. Individual that is 19 years of age or older; or
      Is less than 19 years of age, and the individual cannot be appropriately served by an Educational Talent Search project;
  5. Individual that expresses a desire to enroll, or is enrolled, in a program of postsecondary education, and requests information or assistance in applying for admission to, or financial aid for, such a program;
  6. An individual that is a veteran of the U.S Armed Forces.

    Disclaimer: Although the EOC staff is employed by Midlands Technical College, they do not recruit participants for the College. As an EOC participant, you can receive assistance in applying to any continuing education program, college, and/or university.

    How to Apply
    Please call the EOC program at 803-822-3749 or 1-800-922-8038 x3749 to schedule an appointment with an EOC Site Coordinator. Because the EOC program is a federally funded program by the U.S. Department of Education, the program must collect important information from you to determine your eligibility status.
