Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Intensive and Training Services
The WIA Program's mission is to empower individuals to take control of their lives and make a difference in their futures by providing them with access to pertinent information, resources and services necessary to make personal, career and employment decisions. Utilizing a holistic intensive case management approach, the program assists adults and dislocated workers eligible under WIA in achieving long-term economic self-sufficiency through the attainment and retention of stable, worthwhile employment.
WIA Youth Program
Family Service Center provides an Intensive Case Management approach to serve Older and Younger, In- and Out-of-School Youth (ages 14-21) to leverage area resources to assist in providing services such as mentoring, tutoring, leadership development, life skills training, job placement, summer work experience, etc.
