Mission Statement
The Midlands Technical College Development Office, in collaboration with the Midlands Technical College Foundation, is responsible for securing financial support and other resources for Midlands Technical College by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and accepting financial resources and gifts that support the vision and mission of Midlands Technical College.
To this end, the foundation focuses on four primary objectives:
- Raising funds for scholarships the increase assess to a college education based on merit and financial need;
- Raising funds to enhance a wide variety of academic programs that provide educational experiences for our students and community;
- Raising funds that recognize talented teachers by supporting professional development and training;
- Raising awareness in the community of the mission and role of Midlands Technical College.
Vision Statement
The Midlands Technical College Foundation will become one of the most respected community and technical college foundations in the nation. The Foundation will be characterized by a strong, committed board of trustees and the acquisition of substantial resources capable of making a discernable difference in the quality of MTC’s programs and services.
Values
The Foundation will support the college’s mission and values. Donors expect and deserve to have their dollars used wisely. Accordingly, the Foundation will focus on earning the donor’s support, satisfaction, and trust. College infrastructures, students, faculty and staff are the direct or indirect beneficiaries of the Foundation’s efforts. The Foundation will be diligent in allocating the proceeds to the highest and best use.
The Midlands Technical College Foundation is a tax-exempt corporation under Section 501©)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Our federal tax identification number is 23-7085753.
